Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder
We started Bent Ear Solutions with one thing in mind, to help public safety organizations fundamentally change how they acquire, implement, and maintain technology solutions. We have realized our approach is not unique to public safety and have now worked with business domains to enhance how they operate. Why? Because we listen. We listen to our clients and their stakeholders to provide a solution that fits their unique challenges, issues, and requirements.
I like to bring people together to solve problems. I like to listen (hence the name Bent Ear) for my client’s real challenges which are rarely the original reason why they brought me in. I’ve spent my career as a trusted advisor helping organizations – Federal, state, local, not-for-profit, and private sector design a path forward in their unique and often uncertain environments. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have worked with many amazing clients. I’ve helped a local homeland security agency map its technology investment strategy; a Federal agency design and develop a knowledge management system; a large utility utilize its GIS investment to further their situational awareness strategy; and I run a not-for-profit for emergency managers called Big City Emergency Managers. All of this work has involved pulling stakeholders into a room to clearly articulate the problem in order to define a solution. I’m not afraid to roll up my sleeves and pitch in where needed in order to help my clients succeed.
My free time is spent with my wife, Molly, and our four kids. With my youth sports coaching career now over and my professional tennis career likely unrealistic, I’ve accepted the fact that helping others solve their challenges will keep my days busy. Fortunately, I love what I do and those in my life that support me.
